Financial literacy does not guarantee freedom—but financial ignorance makes control easier.
Candlelight
You do not need candlesticks to invest. But you should understand their language before attempting to trade from them.
Bullish Bearish │ Wick = high and lowBody = open to close · Wicks = high and low
Heikin-Ashi means “average bar” in Japanese. It uses averaged open, high, low and close prices to filter market noise, making trends easier to recognize and follow. The smoother picture also creates delay.
Once you can read the candles, study the investment’s history. A distribution shows what came out. The chart helps show what happened to the money left inside.
If you cannot explain what you are buying, how it makes money and how it can lose money, choose something simpler while you keep learning. Can’t get past this point?
There is no shame in choosing a financial road you understand. The danger is pretending you understand a road that can take your money.

The racial wealth gap is not an accusation. It is a measurable condition.
It describes the same deep imbalance, but it is not the best current figure. A Federal Reserve-based estimate put Black household wealth at about $5.71 trillion, or 3.4% of the national total, in the second quarter of 2025. We will not use a more dramatic number simply because it is more dramatic.
Income is what arrives. Wealth is what remains: homes, savings, retirement accounts, businesses and investments, minus debt. Wealth can absorb an emergency, finance education, help start a business and pass opportunity to the next generation.
For every $100 held by the typical White family, the typical Black family held about $16 in 2022.
Median Black family wealth rose from about $27,970 in 2019 to $44,890 in 2022. Black stock ownership rose from 33.5% to 39.2%, and business ownership rose from 4.8% to 11.0%. Those are real gains. In the same 2022 survey, median White family wealth was $285,010.
Two things can be true at once: Black families can be building wealth, and the national gap can remain enormous.
The gap accumulated through slavery; racial violence and land loss; unequal access to property, credit and education; discrimination in major wealth-building programs; redlining; unequal housing and employment markets; and continuing differences in lending, appraisal and inheritance. Class matters. Individual choices matter. History and institutions matter too. One truth does not erase another.

Why 24K selected it
Income alone does not create stability. A repeatable routine determines what the income can accomplish.
The strongest idea is not a product or a percentage. It is the habit of checking what happened, deciding what comes next and refusing to let money move without an assignment.
Rashida’s description includes commercial links for banking, savings-account comparisons, gold, financial-adviser matching and other services. 24K receives no compensation from those links and does not endorse the sponsors, rates, bonuses, products or offers.

Bills, protection and discretionary spending are easier to understand when their boundaries are visible.
An automatic mistake is still a mistake. Review transfers and deposits after they occur.

Port Sudan’s coastline suggests commerce and tourism. After war devastated Khartoum, the city became Sudan’s administrative and humanitarian hub. Drone attacks later reached its airport, fuel storage and electrical infrastructure—showing why geography alone cannot tell us whether a destination is safe.
